Story Telling Fun at Pannett Art Gallery

16th  and 17th November

Part of Whitby Christmas Festival Fringe.

Come and try out a range of activities with the National Literacy Trust at the Pannett Art Gallery during Whitby Christmas Festival.

Visit the gallery on Saturday 16th November to enjoy story telling sessions with local Literacy Champions, including local author Catharine Boddy. Come in from the chilly winter weather, settle down in the storytelling den and be transported to far away places and fantasy lands. The story telling sessions are free but children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults may find they enjoy the storytelling as much as the children. No need to book, just come along and join in.

On Sunday 17th November come and try out a Diddy Dance Workshop, exploring story telling through dance, for pre school age boys and girls with MESH Ballet teacher Su Crossland. Su will be running two sessions on Sunday 17th, 10.30 – 11 am and 11.30am – 12 noon. The sessions are free to attend but places are limited so booking is advisable. To book your place phone 01947 600933.

Whilst in the gallery you can also create a Christmas token. Add it to our display with your wish for Christmas or take it home to decorate your own tree.

The entries for the Mayoral Christmas Card competition will be on display at the gallery throughout the weekend and there will also be a Christmas Trail around Whitby Museum.

Come along, join in the fun. The Gallery is open 9.30am – 4.30pm. Last admission 4pm. Entry and all activities at the Pannett Art Gallery are FREE. There is a charge for adults at Whitby Museum.
