Anne Moses – A Closer View

An exhibition by Whitby artist Anne Moses and her late husband Steve.  Both have been producing work for many years. Anne has won several awards and has work in private collections both in the UK and internationally. She is represented by the Moosey Gallery, Norwich and the Stephensons Gallery, York.

Steve was a highly accomplished painter, drawer, photographer and digital artist alongside being an inspirational teacher to many.  Although a great support, teacher and mentor to Anne he was never particularly interested in showing his work only in evolving and producing it.

This is the first time his work has been shown in a public space and this exhibition is a tribute to him.

Four Seasons, Two Sisters

Four Seasons, Two Sisters is on show in our community cabinet. Eileen and Eva Soper created work that was inspired by their garden, which was both a wildlife habitat and a bird sanctuary. Part of it is still owned by the RSPB.

Come and see Eileen’s nature plates created while she was the principal illustrator for Enid Blyton. They were designed to teach children about natural world. Her sister Eva created a series of life size ceramic garden birds for Royal Worcester. Enjoy our collection of prints, postcards, ceramics and original artwork in this delightful little show that takes you through the seasons.
