Vision of Whitby – photography competition.
Do you enjoy taking photographs locally? We would like you to enter your own photos of Whitby into a 2022 competition, with the winners displayed in Pannett Art Gallery in the Vision of Whitby show in April.
This exhibition, organised by David Tindale, complements the exhibition currently on display in Whitby Museum which features John Tindale photographs from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s featuring the whole of Whitby and District, town and sea, villages and moors, people and animals.

This link will take you to a page which includes a map of the area. Any picture taken in the Whitby area shown in the map can be entered. The photo can be taken on a phone or with a camera, or it could be an old family print you have in an album. Both black-and-white and colour photos are welcome.
There are six categories: News, Events, People, The Sea, The Country and Portraits, and you can enter up to three images per category.
Entries close on the 26th March 2022, so get uploading on the web-site for your chance to be a winner and show us your Vision of Whitby.
The winners and commended will be displayed 5 April – 1 May, in the Pannett Art Gallery, and also on the John Tindale web-site.
